| I like fingered bass if I'm honest. But I've not messed around enough o get the right tone since my good bass died. I'll play either fingered/pick, just lik eteh warmth of the sound from finger bass. | |

| If I'm honest, I'm not too bothered. Be a good way to die. Laugh to death. But yeah I dig Fender tone, possibly the best. Warwicks have evil tone but look like a dog just shitted em out. So yeah Fender's the best if you ask me | |

| I vary between songs. If its a heavy song I use a pick, but if its a slower song I use fingers. Only been using a pick for a year but used fingers for 4 | |

| anyway about basses, i have an ibanez gsr which is pretty much a good end practice model that i got 2nd hand about 5 years ago, was my first instrument. the nobs on it are all loose and i have to tape the strap on cos despite me re drilling loads the strap holders keep falling off. despite that it can get quite a nice tone, only problem is its started popping when i play it hard (which i thinks essential with bass) or if i slap (which i dont really do that much cos its kinda something that a lot of people do to show off and doesnt suit the songs)
i used to have a thunderbird but had to sell it cos i had no monies and i had no food.
so i really want to buy a better bass, being playing ages and not really treated myself. was thinking id sell my leopard print flying v kinda thing for £150 if anyones interested. im also selling vinyls and need a job!

| I've got 2 basses, an Epiphone Thunderbird and a Burns Bison. They both sound great, and the Bison has some very interesting knobs, including settings for "Split sound" and "Wild dog". I've never played bass with a pick, it seems wrong. Playing with my fingers makes me feel more connected to the instrument. | |

| i find string skipping difficult with fingers, but its easier to do more techniques like popping and shit | |

| Not really good at using a pick, so I just prefer to use fingers, but most people tell me that pick sounds better :s
I disagree myself. I suppose I prefer fingered because that's how i learned to "play" so.
